GlenOak Athletics is proud to recognize our Athletes of the Week, Melia Lawson and Grant Cundiff for their performances this past week!
🏀 Female Athlete of the Week – Melia Lawson 🦅
Congratulations to freshman Melia Lawson of the GlenOak girls basketball team! Melia has been a key part of the Lady Eagles’ strong 2-1 start, showing poise and impact well beyond her years.
This past week, Melia averaged:
• 11 points
• 4 rebounds
• 4 steals
Coach Hooks shared high praise, saying: “Melia is a dedicated student-athlete who is always in the gym working on her craft. She has performed consistently well over our first 3 games and brings a dynamic defensive spark for our team on the court.”
🤼 Male Athlete of the Week – Grant Cundiff 🤼
Congratulations to Grant Cundiff of the GlenOak boys wrestling team! Grant turned in a dominant performance this past weekend, taking 1st place at The Ashton Hynd Battle by the Lake Tournament at Madison High School.
Grant went a perfect 5-0 on the day, finishing with 1 pin, 3 tech falls, and taking down a ranked wrestler in the finals.
