GlenOak Athletics is proud to recognize our Athletes of the Week, Ainsley Marcum and Ian Sonogan, for their performances this past week!
🏊♀️ Female Athlete of the Week – Ainsley Marcum 🦅
Congratulations to junior Ainsley Marcum of the GlenOak Swim & Dive Team, this week’s Female Athlete of the Week! Ainsley delivered a fantastic performance this past weekend, earning a 1st-place diving finish at the Northeast Aquatic Championships.
Ainsley posted a personal-record score of 337.45, an impressive 40-point improvement over her previous best.
Coach Hawkins praised Ainsley’s commitment, saying she “works hard at practice, does her best, and is focused on qualifying for the state championship this coming February.” Currently ranked 4th in the District, Ainsley is in a strong position to be competitive throughout the postseason.

🤼 Male Athlete of the Week – Ian Sonogan 🦅
Congratulations to junior Ian Sonogan of the GlenOak boys wrestling team, this week’s Male Athlete of the Week! Ian put together a dominant performance at the Logan Elm Tournament, capturing 1st place in his weight class.
Ian finished the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record, including 4 pins, showcasing his strength, skill, and competitiveness on the mat.
