Athletes of the Week
GlenOak Athletics is proud to recognize our Athletes of the Week, Holly Harper and Noah Fitzsimmons, for their performances this past week!
Female Athlete of the Week – Holly Harper
Congratulations to senior Holly Harper of the GlenOak Cheerleading Team, this week’s Female Athlete of the Week! Holly has been a great teammate and member of the cheer program throughout the fall and winter seasons, consistently bringing energy, positivity, and leadership.
This past week at the NCA National Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, Holly’s competitive spirit and enthusiasm played a key role in helping the team earn a National Championship title in the Non-Building Varsity Crowd Leading category. Holly also competes on our Gymnastics team!
Outstanding job, Holly, and thank you for representing GlenOak with pride!
Male Athlete of the Week – Noah Fitzsimmons
Congratulations to senior Noah Fitzsimmons of the GlenOak Swim Team, this week’s Male Athlete of the Week! A team captain, Noah continues to set the standard both in and out of the pool.
Coach Hawkins shared that Noah is an excellent swimmer who excels in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle, while also showing the flexibility and skill to compete successfully in both distance and sprint events. He is coming off a strong meet this past Saturday, where he won the 500 Freestyle.
Noah is a four-time letter winner and four-time district qualifier, with his sights set on qualifying for the state competition at the end of the season. Beyond his performance, Noah is a strong leader who both gives and receives advice, works tirelessly, and represents the program with class as an outstanding student.
He provides a tremendous example for younger swimmers to strive toward every day.
Great work, Noah!
