GlenOak Athletics is proud to recognize our Athletes of the Week, Angelina Pyle and Joey Altieri, for their performances this past week!
Female Athlete of the Week – Angelina Pyle
Congratulations to junior Angelina Pyle of the GlenOak girls wrestling team, this week’s Female Athlete of the Week! Angelina had a fantastic week on the mat, showcasing her strength and competitiveness.
Angelina earned a victory by pin in the dual match against Perry and followed it up with a 2nd-place finish in her weight class at the Nordonia Invitational this past Saturday.
Great work, Angelina!
Male Athlete of the Week – Joey Altieri
Congratulations to senior Joey Altieri of the GlenOak boys wrestling team, this week’s Male Athlete of the Week! Joey turned in a perfect weekend at the Lakewood Duals, going 5-0 and helping lead the Golden Eagles to a 1st-place team finish.
Coach Krumlauf shared that Joey’s leadership is unmatched, noting that he is a true role model both in the classroom and on the mat. His consistency, effort, and example continue to set the tone for the program.
