GlenOak Athletics is proud to recognize our Athletes of the Week, Kairi Chech and Carter Bond, for their performances this past week!
Female Athlete of the Week – Kairi Chech
Congratulations to junior Kairi Chech of the GlenOak girls bowling team, this week’s Female Athlete of the Week! Kairi delivered an outstanding performance in our final home match against Green, rolling a new personal-best 267 game and 437 series. She finished an impressive 115 pins over her average, helping lead the Lady Eagles to victory.
Her coaches have stated that Kairi’s hard work and focus in recent practices are clearly paying off. She also played an important role in helping the team advance to Districts this past Sunday with a strong showing at Sectionals.
Great job, Kairi!
Male Athlete of the Week – Carter Bond
Congratulations to senior Carter Bond of the boys bowling team, this week’s Male Athlete of the Week! Carter had a phenomenal day on the lanes in the team's final regular season match of the season.
He set a new personal record in Game 1 with a 209, then topped it in Game 2 with an impressive 229, finishing with a 438 series. Carter was an incredible 130 pins over his average for the day!
