GlenOak Boys Soccer Earns Top Honors in Federal League
The GlenOak Boys Soccer Team had an outstanding season, finishing undefeated in Federal League play with a perfect 6-0 record and capturing the Federal League Championship. The team was well represented in this year’s All-Federal League honors, a testament to their hard work, skill, and dedication throughout the season.
Player of the Year: Grant Millsap
Senior Grant Millsap earned both the Federal League Player of the Year and Stark County Player of the Year awards. Grant was a standout performer this season, scoring against five of six Federal League opponents, including the game-winning goal against Green, which clinched GlenOak’s first outright league championship in 30 years.
Finishing as the team’s top scorer with 12 goals, Grant’s accomplishments are even more remarkable considering he missed his entire junior season due to injury. His resilience and ability to rise in big games made him an integral part of the Eagles’ success this year.
Coach of the Year: Damien Marchione
Head Coach Damien Marchione was named Federal League Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, the team achieved an undefeated league record and captured the championship, reflecting his leadership, strategy, and commitment to the players’ development.
